  Having traveled from Scandinavia via London I was quite tired on arrival so I went straight to bed. It was so peaceful I think I slept about 10 hours, waking to the smell of Lucia's lovely breakfast being cooked. Desperate to see what this place looked like in full daylight I opened the door onto my balcony and was blown away by the view. The sun was splitting the mist rolling over the mountains, wow is all I can say. I will not spoil it for other guests by describing it or posting one of the many photos I took but believe me it is pretty special!

  Having disembarked I approached the boutique and was given a typical warm Spanish welcome by Lucia and Fernando (and also a much appreciated drink!) and showed us their magnificent house.

  El pueblo parece sacado de un cuento, y no puede ir mejor con el cuento la casa, cuidado al máximo detalle y con muchísimo gusto. Excepcional trato de Lucía y Fernando. Sin duda un oasis para el descanso y disfrute. Volveremos !

  In fact, I will not go further to describe my experiences as I think this place has to be experienced first hand to be fully appreciated. All I will say is that f you love mind blowing scenery, breathtaking beaches, surfing, climbing, walking, fishing.......out of this world 'genuine' Spanish food and wine but most of all getting away from the hassle of modern life, and completely and utterly relaxing then this place is for you.

  The breakfast Lucia and Fernando provide each morning is so fresh and tasty it really sets you up perfectly for however you plan to explore the day ahead. The tomato and garlic mixture (tumaca) that Lucia makes fresh from the garden every morning is to die for.... heaped on little crispy toasts which kept appearing, with plentiful local chorizo, cheeses and other local produce washed down with real coffee and fresh orange juice, both of which were refilled as much as the guests required (at no extra cost!).

  I recently had the fortune to spend a week at this magical spot. I have traveled literally all over Europe and I would honestly say that this would definitely be up there as one of the best.

  A breathtaking dusk drive from Santander airport took me to the most charming village I think I have ever seen, deep in the valley of the striking Mountains. I cannot describe the feeling as you arrive in this genuine authentic Cantabrian village, it is like stepping back in time, I could not quite believe it was real!
